On April 26 & 27, Secon Cyber Security, in conjunction with Trend Micro, will again be present at IP Expo Manchester at stand W734.

Our technical experts, headed by David King, Technical Director, Secon Cyber Security, will be there to answer any questions you may have regarding any of Trend Micro's products or services. Of particular interest this year is Trend Micro's XGen-powered Deep Security 10 as part of Hybrid Cloud Security and GDPR compliance.

Deep Security continues to embrace the challenge of hybrid cloud, delivering enhancements designed to give you even more visibility across all of your environments—physical, virtual, cloud, and now containers.

Integrating seamlessly across leading environments such as VMware, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. the new features powered by XGen Security provide intelligent detection and protection against ransomware attacks, Zero-day attacks and other threats while minimising the operational impact of security and emergency patching.

Secon Cyber Security is Trend Micro's no.1 UK partner; we are the only partner to have obtained all of Trend Micro's technical certifications.

Of particular interest will be David King’s talk on Data Classification at 13:40, 27 April, Cyber Threat Protection theatre. One of the key aspects in preparing for GDPR is Data Protection Impact Assessment (Article 35) and proper record keeping (Article 30). In order to properly assess the risks of business processes and provide visibility, data must first be audited, mapped and classified.

David packs a wealth of knowledge, experience and information. By his own account, he has spent over 30 years working “in every conceivable IT job you can think of, from operations and desktop support to network engineering, IT Management, and Director of Compliance.”

David King is a data classification champion and GDPR Practitioner. He has a Master's in Cyber Security and is working on a paper about data classification, its problems and potentials solutions which he hopes to publish later this year.

Make sure you visit them at Stand W734 and say hello to David. You’ll be glad you did
