New app will help sailors digitally access nautical charts

Imray, the leading publisher of nautical charts, books and apps, has launched a new Navigator app to enable sailors to zoom and pan seamlessly across multiple nautical charts on their iPads and iPhones for easy navigation at sea.

The new fully functioning Navigator app was developed by web and mobile application development company, Xibis.

Available in six languages, the app offers subscriptions to sets of award-winning Imray nautical charts plus a selected range from other international Hydrographic Offices and publishers. It enables easy passage planning, route creation and sharing of tracks and waypoints with crew or friends, as well as access to tidal information, AIS and NMEA data.

The Navigator app contains GPS software, navigation tools and demonstration versions of charts of the English Channel. It is available from from the Apple App Store.
