Luminate Hire Local Inbound Marketing Leaders

Entrepreneur and former Groupon regional director David Murray-Henderson and Brother UK Social Media head Dan Strayer have joined Luminate Digital as Digital Sales and Digital Marketing Managers, respectively.

Luminate, launched in 2016, are a Manchester-based HubSpot Agency Partner specialising in inbound marketing and website design for professional services firms founded and led by CEO Lee Lummis.

Murray-Henderson served as Regional Sales Manager for MyCityDeal.de, the forerunner of Groupon UK & IE. He was responsible for the launch in the North of England and took ownership of the recruitment, training and development of all new staff. A certified public-sector marketer and businessman, he is also a government-qualified business development professional, which propelled previous work as a Business Development Manager at GovNet.

More recently, Murray-Henderson worked with creative & digital marketing agencies across the North in business development and digital innovation, including Rocketfish Internet, The Media Octopus and Big Brand Ideas.He holds HubSpot certifications in Inbound Marketing, Inbound Sales and Sales Software, and is currently pursuing other qualifications in Growth Driven Design.

Strayer most recently led the digital marketing department at SQ Digital, formerly SearchQuest, heading a variety of marketing and website-related projects to finalise the full rebrand of the agency in April 2017. Previously, he was contracted to Brother UK as both social media manager & digital services manager, and managed content and SEO with Optionis Group in Warrington.

Strayer holds HubSpot certifications Inbound Marketing, Selling Sales and Content Marketing, as well as Google Analytics and Google AdWords.

Much of that local talent is being tapped already. On the marketing side, Strayer has begun to fill out his team, having now brought in two Salford natives, Samaiyyah Siddique and Callum Dawson, as Content Marketing Executives. Formerly of Rentalcars.com, Siddique started 6th June, whilst Dawson - currently of Bolton-agency Bring Digital - joins in the latter part of the month. Murray-Henderson will be expanding the sales team over time as well.
