The Nottingham based electronics design and software development consultancy have designed their test fixtures for quick delivery and full customisation. To allow businesses to produce reliable products.
Richard Fletcher Ignys MD says
“We’ve developed a new test jig solution, to allow automated quality control on low volume manufacture projects. Our test jigs are a handy way to verify that your populated printed circuit board has been correctly made, and to speed up programming and calibration etc.
Think of it as your eyes and ears at the end of an outsourced production line checking each board is right before it lands on a customer’s doorstep.
Many fixtures on the market are expensive, cumbersome to transport and often come with a lengthy lead time.
So we've designed our jigs to be a portable and cost effective solution with shorter lead times.
Early prototype test jigs also highlighted the need to accommodate tall components, so we've incorporated a deep tray to address this need.”
Test fixtures work by testing populated PCBs before they are assembled into products, reducing the loss of time experienced when a faulty board has been fitted without test.
As many manufacturers charge by the minute, saving even a couple of minutes per board can reduce costs at the same time as improving test coverage and quality.
Test fixtures can also add traceability and quality to electronics product manufacturing with speedy test times.
The test fixture solution from Ignys also includes an offer for half a day of electronics and software customisation for free when the test fixture solution is ordered by 18th December 2020.
