The first Northern Blog Awards are to be held at Manchester’s The Principal hotel on 16th September 2017, and will host the region’s top influencers, recognising the wealth of blogging talent in the North of England.

Recognition for local talent

Finalists range from the likes of fashion blogger Megan Ellaby and vlogger In The Frow to emerging blogging talent and social influencers, all of whom will be recognised in a glittering ceremony with more than 100 top bloggers already registered to attend and circa 70,000 nominations and votes.

The awards ceremony is run by blogger collective WeBlogMCR and headline sponsors are luxury interiors brand Christy and affiliate management firm Thoughtmix, with support from digital marketing agency Six & Flow, Booths Supermarkets and online magazine STYLEetc.

Northern blogging scene

Founder, Holly Wood, says:

“Being a blogger based in the North, I realised the frustration of big brand events happening in the South and only the bigger bloggers being recognised for the larger brand jobs.

“We've established a scene here in Manchester with WeBlogMCR and brands are realising they don't have to just concentrate their marketing budget on London.

“We pride ourselves on being inclusive, with the mantra: to learn, inspire and collaborate. It's going to be a great party!"

Local business networking

Tickets are still available to bloggers and influencers, with a limited number of early bird tickets priced at £49.50 per person, returning to £60 thereafter.

There are also opportunities for local businesses to participate, with sponsorship packages and passes available, offering brands the opportunity to network with hundreds of influencers in attendance.

The event begins at 6pm with a blogger and brand meet and greet in the collaboration lounge before moving through to dinner, the awards presentation and a DJ and dancing.
