A Ministerial visit to Cheltenham’s Manor By The Lake by Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson MP on Friday [27 Jan] was reported as a tremendous success, and a real boost for Cheltenham which has been chosen as the UK’s Cyber Hub.
The visit, which coincided with the Prime Minister’s visit to Washington, had been pre-arranged for the Foreign Secretary to meet a select number of business leaders and supporters throughout Gloucestershire.
The evening started with a tour of the Victorian Manor House followed by a sample of the Manor’s exquisite menu.
After an amusing introduction by Cheltenham MP Alex Chalk, the Foreign Secretary addressed the audience with a mixture of current affairs and international business news presented in an upbeat positive manner which only Mr Johnson could achieve. Guests were also treated to welcome drinks and luxury canapés as they arrived in the Ballroom with time to network.
