A popular employee who provides IT support to staff around the country has celebrated 25 years with family business Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care.

IT support and systems tester Raj Morar was congratulated by head office colleagues at Scrivens House in Edgbaston, and presented with a watch in recognition of his loyal service.

A key member of a seven-strong help desk, Raj’s skills are called on by the company’s branch and head office staff and its production facility. He said:

“It’s been an enjoyable 25 years, the time has flown by. I enjoy working with a good team and a good company. The business has certainly grown since I started with more branches and more people looking for help.”

It is not the first time Raj, who lives in Sparkhill, has been celebrated for his dedication. In 2019 he received the company’s top accolade, the Sasha Georgevic Award, for his outstanding contribution to the business after being nominated by colleagues.

IT Director David Hewitson said:

“Raj is a valued member of our team who is known for his positive attitude and willingness to help colleagues. He is an asset to the business. We congratulate him on his 25 years service.”
