Bubbly Siobhan Holmes is taking her passion for the fizzy stuff to a whole new level – by launching her own mobile prosecco bar.

The fun-loving businesswoman has quit the rat race after launching The Vino Van from a converted horse box.

Now prosecco queen Siobhan is touring the country visiting festivals, events and weddings with her pink van.

She hopes her new business will fizz with success and plans to eventually expand across the UK with a whole fleet of Vino Vans.

The 29-year-old entrepreneur came up with the idea just six months ago, after finding a gap in the market for a service that can offer the popular drink at festivals, weddings and corporate events.

Within one month of coming up with the idea, Siobhan bought an old horse box and six weeks later took the renovated Vino Van to its first event.

The Vino Van will be travelling to events around the UK this summer and Siobhan hopes to book in more music and food festivals, as well as weddings and corporate events.

And it isn’t just normal prosecco that she offers. The van also launched a ‘Pimp Your Prosecco’ service, where people can add fruit and mixers of their choice to the bubbles.

Some other popular recipes she provides include the delicious ‘Prosecco Fizz’, which contains raspberries and Chambord, topped with prosecco.

Siobhan, from Corby, Northamptonshire, also offers a refreshing ‘Prosecco Hugo Cocktail’ which is prosecco mixed with elderflower cordial and fresh mint.

Siobhan said: “After noticing a gap in the market for something that was unique to prosecco-lovers, I decided to launch Vino Van.

“It was a quick decision and turnaround, but it was something which I knew would work and a business venture that I am incredibly passionate about.

“For me, prosecco has always been about celebrating, being with friends and family and toasting to the good times in life.

“You could say it’s a happy drink. It’s perfect on its own but it’s versatile too, making it an ideal base for so many great cocktails. Also, a small glass has fewer calories than a banana.

“My prosecco cocktails accompany different events perfectly. The refreshing Prosecco Hugo Cocktail would work perfectly at a summer sporting event such as a day at the races or watching tennis. It’s also great to make at home at a BBQ, or for a cocktail day with the girls.

“My delicious Prosecco Fizz cocktail is a classy cocktail that’s popular as a welcome drink at weddings or corporate events.

“And my cocktail ventures don’t stop there. I am always on the lookout for new and exciting ideas that I can incorporate into my Vino Van. I have recently discovered pink glitter you can add to prosecco for a sparkling drink. This is something that will be perfect for festival season.

“I am incredibly excited to start taking the van around the country, visiting new and exciting places and topping up the nations prosecco glasses.

“My hope within the next year is to grow the brand further. I’d love to expand and have more Vino Vans across the country, providing the whole nation with the UK’s favourite tipple.”
