..advisory board as it gears up for growth to become ‘Etsy for Food'

Bristol-born online marketplace for home-cooks, All About The Cooks, has appointed well-respected figureheads, Nick Davies and Will Hamilton, to its advisory board as it continues its ambitious journey to become the ‘Etsy for food'.

Both bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the online marketplace, providing a platform for talented home-based chefs across Bristol and Bath to earn money doing what they love.

Nick Davies is the founder and ex-CEO of Neighbourly, an award-winning giving platform that helps large companies scale their contribution to local community causes via corporate volunteering, financial giving and surplus donations. The venture's work aligns with that of All About The Cooks' as both recognise the role food has to play within communities and place great value on boosting local economies.

Nick is a key figure in Bristol's tech industry, with strong connections in the area - including the city's thriving Engine Shed and the SetSquared Incubator. Nick is also a leading voice in the growing ‘tech-for-good' movement.

Will Hamilton is expected to bring a ‘hands-on' strategic approach, which has been honed during his previous experience of founding, growing, scaling and ultimately, exiting a technology business.

The pair have expressed interest in working with All About The Cooks due to its four pillars of social impact, which have been embedded into its highly successful and commercial proposition; economic empowerment, making real food more accessible, community-building and keeping money local.

Claire Ladkin, founder of All About The Cooks, said:

"It's great to welcome Nick and Will to the board. Both will bring much-needed expertise as All About The Cooks continues to grow into the next stage of its mission to revolutionise the way we eat at home.

"Food is a catalyst for bringing people together. We see it in our everyday lives, throughout history and as we come together for traditions and celebrations, regardless of culture, faith or belief. Remember when we all thought that AirBnB was weird? Now it's become completely normal. Imagine a world where buying and selling home-cooked food becomes commonplace, with food bringing people together and money changing hands on a grand scale.

Close to 70 cooks are currently signed up to All About The Cooks, offering a range of cuisines across Bristol and Bath. Undiscovered cooks are encouraged to sign up to the platform and share not only their delicious, home-cooked specialities but also their stories.
