Derby’s best-loved retail and leisure destination, Derbion, is set to welcome a brand-new coffee shop and café to the centre, with the arrival of award-winning Jamaica Blue.

Opening this week on Level 1 between Holland & Barrett and Vision Express, Jamaica Blue will offer high-quality coffee made with beans from the Jamaican Blue Mountains, and delicious all-day brunches using the freshest locally-sourced ingredients.

The contemporary menu will feature an exciting array of classic dishes with a twist, including satisfying salads, open flatbreads and the café’s famous all-day brunch dish, as well as a wide range of sweet and savoury options. There will also be an extensive range of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, so there’s something for everybody to enjoy.

Michael Johnson, national operations manager for Jamaica Blue UK, said:

“Jamaica Blue’s foundations are built on two simple beliefs that guide us in everything that we do. Firstly, a belief in sourcing the very best coffee, and secondly, only using fresh, premium ingredients to deliver contemporary café dishes with a twist.

“We’re thrilled to be opening at Derbion on Thursday 23rd September, and excited to share our high-quality coffee and delicious menu with Derby’s foodies!”

Adam Tamsett, general manager at Derbion, commented:

“We’re delighted to be welcoming Jamaica Blue to Derbion, its award-winning coffee and delicious dishes is the perfect addition to the centre’s wide range of dining options.

“Welcoming Jamaica Blue is part of our ongoing commitment to offer a wide range of dining experiences for our visitors to enjoy, and we’re confident that it will prove to be a popular choice for shoppers looking to grab a bite to eat.”

Jamaica Blue’s opening follows Derbion’s recent announcement of more than 200,000 sq ft of new lettings, which include Frasers, Mango and Tommy Hilfiger, with several existing names also significantly upsizing their footprint.
