Hip Pop's Gut Lovin' Orange Soda shakes things up at The Grocer New Product Awards

Self-confessed "rebels of the gut-health world" and brewer of gut lovin' drinks, Hip Pop, is celebrating success after one of its most popular sodas made the Product Shortlist at The Grocer New Product & Packaging Awards 2023.


Hip Pop's Gut Lovin' Orange Soda was shortlisted within the Soft Drinks category, alongside a number of industry giants including Red Bull, Rubicon and Shloer. As one of the newest additions to Hip Pop's refreshingly delicious Gut Lovin' Soda range, the wild and zesty Orange Soda is prebiotic not only vegan, low-sugar and non-artificial, but is infused with living cultures and chicory root fibre (¼ of your daily fibre intake) for supporting gut health.


A symbol of innovation in the UK FMCG sector, The Grocer New Product and Packaging Awards is the place to hear about the latest and greatest food and drinks products that have hit the shelves over the last 18 months. All winners will be chosen by an esteemed panel of judges and presented with a gold, silver or bronze award at the ceremony on Tuesday 7th November 2023 at The Royal Lancaster in London.

2023 has been an exciting year so far for Hip Pop, having gained increasing recognition for both its superior brewing quality and business success.


In addition to being shortlisted for ‘SME Emerging Business' at the Food & Drink Federation (FDF) Awards 2023, the Manchester based business took home a total of 5 stars across 4 of its gut healthy drinks* at this year's Great Taste Awards, positioning Hip Pop as an official Great Taste producer.


Hip Pop co-founder, Emma Thackray, was also selected to join Insider Media's ‘North West 42 under 42' list for 2023 – an annual campaign which profiles 42 people from the region who are excelling in heading up businesses, aged 42 and under.


The fast-growing brand is currently stocked by a number of retailers including Booths, Harrods, Fortnum & Mason and most recently, 280 Sainsbury's stores – the brand's largest commercial listing to date – with ambitious plans to further increase its retail distribution by 150% over the next 12 months.
