David Ffrench and Lindsay Berresford, founders of Quirky Campers, which is based in Bristol, have been awarded Family Business Entrepreneurs of the Year for the South West region at The Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards. The awards finals were held on Monday 20 November.

A Triumph in a Highly Competitive Field

Making the shortlist is an achievement in its own right given the calibre of competition, underlining the significance of the Quirky Campers win.

Previous winner James Watt, founder of BrewDog, said that winning was "better than winning the World Cup." Steven Bartlett has gone as far as to dub the awards as "The Grammys of Entrepreneurship," highlighting the glamour and prestige associated with the event.

The judges commented:

"The judges were highly impressed with Quirky Campers, recognising their innovative approach to community building and how they successfully integrated it into the broader vertical. It's a testament to Lindsay, David, and Quirky Campers' commitment to fostering a strong and interconnected community within their business."
