Acquired by Kersfield in 2018, 12 Clifton Park has been granted planning permission to sensitively convert the existing Georgian villa to provide six luxury properties.

Kersfield have worked closely with architects, the Nash Partnership, to arrive at a design that will bring this significant heritage asset back into use for residential purposes and ensure its ongoing preservation.

Originally built as a single dwelling in 1850 and adapted soon after for Badminton School, 12 Clifton Park sits at the end of Worcester Terrace, a stone’s throw from Clifton Village. Designed with Greek revival detailing, the property forms an integral part of the Clifton Conservation Area and is surrounded by the Grade II* Listed Clifton Cathedral and the designated important open space, Worcester Terrace Communal Gardens.

The conversion will include the full restoration of the building, reinstating interior finishes in line with the original design intent, many of which have been lost to adaptations over the years.

The apartments will be of the highest design specification in the award-winning Kersfield style; providing five large lateral, 2-3 bedroom apartments and one three-bedroom coach house, with access to landscaped shared gardens along with off-street car parking and cycle spaces.

“These large lateral apartments by Kersfield provide a unique opportunity to acquire really spacious homes in a Georgian building with direct lift access to all floors, within walking distance of Clifton Village. Such opportunities are few and far between; which is why we have already been approached by a number of prospective purchasers seeking to buy off plan, before they are marketed,” said Dan Harris, Associate Director, Savills Residential Development Sales.

The apartments will be available through Savills Residential Development Sales with work due to commence in January 2020 and completion expected in Autumn 2020.
