The quality of the building work achieved by the site manager responsible for a popular development of new homes in Chipping Sodbury has earned him an industry accolade, it was announced this week.

Sean Gibbs, who leads the team constructing Yate-based Cotswold Homes’ Florence Gardens development off Trinity Lane, has won a Pride in the Job Award presented annually by the National House-Building Council (NHBC) to site managers whose work achieves the highest standards.

Sean (29), whose home is in Devauden near Chepstow, joined Cotswold Homes in 2017. He can draw on more than tenyears of hands-on experience in the building industry.

He competed with around 11,000entrants to win his QualityAward.

Commenting on his success Sean said:

‘I have always associated this award with the top site managers in the UK, so to be amongst the winners is a huge honour.’

Cotswold Homes’ construction director, Guy Edge, praised Sean’s achievement saying:

‘He is an excellent site manager and valued member of the Cotswold Homes team.

‘Our customers tell us that Sean’s quality and attitude are first class so to see this recognised by the NHBC is the icing on the cake. Florence Gardens is our biggest and most successful development in the region and we’ve maintained exemplary quality throughout.’

Sean’s award is the tenth to be awarded to Cotswold Homes by the NHBC.

Guy added that success in the NHBC Pride in the Job Award competition gives the morale of all Cotswold Homes employees ‘a huge boost.’

He said:

‘Success in the award scheme represents much more than industry recognition; it has a direct and positive effect on sales. Today’s home-buyers fully recognise the value of NHBC endorsements like these, giving them extra confidence with regard to the quality of their new homes when purchasing.’

All but two of the high-specification new homes at Florence Gardens have been sold with just five bungalows to be released shortly.

Cotswold Homes says that its all-inclusive specification means the homes offer great value for money. Purchase prices include integrated appliances – oven, hob with a feature hood, fridge-freezer, washer-drier and integrated dishwasher – as well as contemporary vinyl flooring in some areas of the home. A wealth of other features, including chrome towel rails, are standard.

Outside each property includes a garden, ready turfed and fenced, as well as a private drive with one or two garages.
