Staffordshire housebuilder delivering 1,200 homes at seven sites across the county

A Staffordshire-based housebuilder is delivering more than 1,200 new homes to meet demand in the county.

Bellway West Midlands, whose divisional head office is in Tamworth, is currently building at seven developments across Staffordshire, which between them will provide a total of 1,255 new homes.

The developer has also submitted plans to build a further 121 homes on the former JCB factory in Cheadle.

Developments currently under construction include the 483-home Barley Fields site in Tamworth, the 369-home Sheasby Park development in Lichfield and the 119-home Bramshall Green site in Uttoxeter.

Bellway is also building a total of 171 homes at three sites in Stafford – Baswich Grange and Berswick Manor – as well as 113 homes at the Evelyn Gardens development in Burton.

Marie Richards, Sales Director for Bellway West Midlands, said:

“We have been building in Staffordshire for around 30 years, and we remain committed to delivering a wide variety of high quality new homes across the county, now and in the future.

“Staffordshire continues to be a key geographical location for us as a division. As well as being based in Tamworth, almost half of the developments we are currently building are located within the county. The housing market here has proven to be extremely resilient in recent years and the demand for new housing remains strong.

“In addition to providing more than 1,200 new homes for people at all stages of the property ladder, the seven developments under construction are also delivering millions of pounds of investment in local services and infrastructure through legal agreements with local councils, supporting jobs and boosting the local economy.”

Bellway retained its five-star builder status from the Home Builders Federation (HBF) earlier this year after more than 90 per cent of customers surveyed said they would recommend the developer to a friend or relative.
