Revolutionary new rental brand, UNCLE, held an exclusive open day at its first city centre development on 20th May.

With demand for rental properties on the rise, the build to rent market in Manchester has remained buoyant, and is now almost set to overtake London as the prime hotspot. UNCLE – a subsidiary of international property firm Realstar Group – aims to shake up Manchester’s residential scene with its no-nonsense, straight-talking approach.

Prospective tenants will be able to get a real feel for UNCLE Manchester on Granby Row, with the unveiling of its stylish show apartments. Visitors will also be able to discover the spacious communal areas, which include a gym, art studio and co-working space, all free to use for residents, while enjoying a convenient city centre location.

Designed by award winning international interior design team, DesignAgency, the well-proportioned show apartments boast high spec, light-filled interiors, with contemporary furnishings supplied by Made.com, against the backdrop of the historic features of a former warehouse conversion.

Turning the idea of a traditional landlord on its head, UNCLE will own and manage the entire building, providing on-site support and service with their resident managers. This means that residents will also benefit from a promise to fix routine repairs within 48 hours and the opportunity to move to another apartment or another one of UNCLE’s locations mid-lease should their circumstances change.

Ryan Prince, founder of UNCLE, said: “We’re excited to unveil the new show apartments and give prospective tenants a first look inside UNCLE Manchester.

“UNCLE is a new kind of landlord who’s shaking up the rental market for professionals. Using a combination of humour and hard-hitting promises, UNCLE is a new challenger brand that’s seeking to take on the establishment players – from buy-to-let landlords to traditional estate agents and property managers – UNCLE’s business model is to own and operate entire buildings (with a minimum of 100 apartments per property) in urban locations. We’re confident that our common sense approach to renting will be a huge success in the city, matching the down-to-earth attitude of Mancunians.

“The fact that we’re cutting unexplained fees, offering complete flexibility when it comes to changing apartments regardless of where residents are in their lease, as well as giving people the chance to cancel their contract outright within the first two weeks, means that we’ve completely got our tenants’ backs.

“With our modern interiors, free of charge communal areas and tenant-first ethos, UNCLE Manchester will become a desirable and vibrant community where young professionals want to live.”

UNCLE Manchester features 171 studio and one-bedroom apartments. Marketed by Jordan Fishwick and JLL, young professionals will be able to get a taste for the UNCLE way of living from June 2017, with prices starting from £175 per week.

Following the open day, the 24/7 onsite team will be able to offer viewings at times to suit prospective residents, including evenings and weekends.
