Design and fit out company, Select Interiors has created a vibrant new office space for global, technical and engineering recruitment giant, Brunel in the heart of Manchester City Centre.

The Spring Gardens location provides over 2000 sq ft of Grade A commercial space which Select has treated as a canvas on which to introduce themes of Manchester culture and architecture, to maintain focus on the host city.

Work took approximately 10 weeks to complete and included all design work, along with the fit and installation of mechanical and electrical services, AV equipment, flooring, bespoke furniture and decoration, including graphics and an internal planting scheme.

Select Interiors’ managing director, Carl Brown comments:

“We were working in the centre of the building and so had to be mindful of the existing tenants around us and adhere to subsequent noise restrictions.

“This is a great address for Brunel’s team and its visitors however the location also provided us with challenges as there are access issues to consider when working in such a central, live environment.

“This project makes a strong addition to our portfolio and we’re delighted with the outcome. We have a good working relationship with Brunel and it was great to get our teeth into such a creative brief.”

Stephen Hardy, manager at Brunel, was pleased with Select’s overall approach to the project:

“Carl and the team have a considered style of working; no detail is too small and they are conscientious and diligent when tackling a project, ensuring that work is completed with the minimum disruption and to everyone’s satisfaction. Our Manchester group is really happy with the end result as the space identifies as Mancunian and gives us an engaging place to work out of.”

Select Interiors originally launched in Manchester, over 30 years ago, as a retail and commercial fit out contractor.
