Refurbished warehouse space attracts attention at Thornbury Industrial Estate

Remaining unit has trade counter potential and scope to create a large secure yard


Demand for industrial stock in Thornbury has been underlined by the swift letting of refurbished units on Thornbury Industrial Estate.


Units 22-27 Cooper Road, which extend to a total of 20,599 sq ft, underwent extensive refurbishment recently and Units 22-24 are now under offer from a national occupier.


Tom Watkins, senior surveyor in the Industrial & Logistics team at Colliers International in Bristol, which is jointly marketing the premises with BNP Paribas Real Estate, said:

“Industrial properties in Thornbury have been attracting increasing attention as potential occupiers are starting to look beyond the overheated markets of North Bristol and Yate.

This has been underlined by the fact that Units 22-24 of this refurbished premises on Thornbury Industrial Estate went under offer soon after being brought to the market.

We received strong interest from a range of end users during the final phases of the refurbishment, and we are expecting similar interest in the remaining space.”


Units 25-27 offer 9,318 sq ft of modern industrial warehousing with two full-height roller shutter doors, and a minimum eaves height of approximately 6m.


Mr Watkins said:

“These units will appeal to a range of potential occupiers given the strategic location, and the fact that the premises has excellent potential to create a high-specification trade counter unit. There are ample car parking spaces, and potential to create a large secure yard.”


He added that the Industrial & Logistics team in the Bristol office of Colliers International had recently let Unit 30 at Thornbury Industrial Estate to artisan spirits manufacturer Bramley and Gage.
