A recruitment company boasting a ‘staggering’ period of success since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic is opening a new office in Nottingham next month.
Sky Recruitment Solutions, which has a head office in Derby and seven other offices across the East Midlands and Yorkshire, is launching its ninth location, in Nottingham, on June 1.
The new branch, based at the Cubo Work serviced offices, in Nottingham’s King Street, represents yet another leap forward for the rapidly expanding firm.
With just three offices and eight staff at the beginning of 2020, Sky Recruitment Solutions has now rocketed in size to a company with nine offices and almost 40 staff two years later.
Owner and managing director David Torrington expects to grow to 10 offices and 50 employees by the end of this year.
But the Nottingham move also holds more significance for David, as the die-hard Forest fan was born and bred in the city and always intended to set up stall there when his firm was big enough to compete with the industry leaders.

said David.
“It’s a major personal milestone for me to be finally opening a Sky Recruitment Solutions office in the city that I love and know so well. “Sky’s success in the past two years has been nothing less than staggering. Our ambitious expansion plans have truly come off for us so far, and we are now well-placed to take on the biggest and best in Nottingham.”
Even before the Nottingham office opens, Sky finds itself in the enviable position of already having five Nottingham-based clients signed up. These include a wood yard, dog food company, food company and industrial and logistics-based firms.
David said:
“There are several significant prominent industrial estates within just a few miles of Nottingham city centre, and there’s a surge of picker and packer roles available at the moment. The recruitment market is still very much booming.”
Craig Cheetham, who already oversees the management of Sky Recruitment Solutions offices in Ripley and Mansfield will run the new Nottingham branch alongside three other staff.
Sky also operates from offices in Burton upon Trent, Huddersfield, Castle Donington, Mansfield, Ripley, Derby and Bradford to be opened summer 2022
Sky Recruitment Solutions, which is currently enjoying its eighth year in business and specialises in industrial or blue collar placements, has a sister company, Capella Professional, which is already based in Nottingham and specialises in white collar, office-based recruitment.
