Independent commercial building consultancy Malcolm Hollis has announced the relocation of their Birmingham office.

The firm has reinforced their confidence in Birmingham by relocating to Birmingham’s Alpha Tower, having out-grown their previous premises on Colmore Row.

Now located on Suffolk Street Queensway, Malcolm Hollis has strong client relations in Birmingham and sees the city as one of the most quickly evolving and buoyant property markets in the country.

Malcolm Hollis has had a long history of successes in Birmingham, working on contracts with a wide range of clients including Columbia Threadneedle Investments, Telereal Trillium, Amazon.co.uk, London & Cambridge Properties Ltd and Intu Properties, amongst others. The firm first made the decision to enter the Midlands market in 2004 with Chris Sullivan opening the Birmingham office and have continued their presence in Birmingham for over 13 years. During this time, the Birmingham office has grown substantially both in service offering and workforce. Simon Goodrick was promoted this year to Partner and succeeds Sullivan as head of the Birmingham office. With over 15 years of experience and specialism in dilapidations, Goodrick is one of the many skilled members of Malcolm Hollis’ workforce that has worked to establish their presence in the Birmingham market.

Malcolm Hollis also sees the consistent growth of the firms’ presence within the city as a direct result of their comprehensive service offering. The office works with a variety of clients including institutional landlords, national retail operators, and private property companies across all sectors including industrial, retail and office premises. The Birmingham office has expanded to accommodate between 50 and 60 staff. They have a wealth of experience from a team of building surveyors, project managers, engineers, sustainability specialists, and measured survey and laser scanning experts, offering the firm’s 19 specialist service areas to meet the region’s increasingly varied demands.

The strategic decision to move location comes as a result of strong growth indicators in the city. Goodrick, comments:
