Birmingham-based partnership homes developer Lovell has appointed a new Marketing and Communications Manager to its Midlands region.
Shivani Parmar from Solihull recently joined Lovell with six years of previous experience in the construction industry, following the completion of her media and journalism degree at Nottingham Trent University.
Shivani’s role involves focusing on the opening of new sites, from looking at the office design, furniture, landscaping and everything in-between. For the open market developments, Shivani liaises with external creative agencies to book media, create development-specific designs for new and on-going schemes and push site-wide or plot-specific marketing messages out to both online and print media.
Shivani said:
“I knew Lovell before joining and liked the schemes they’re involved in. The way Lovell positions its sites and works with other housing providers is a great way of working towards making housing accessible to people from all backgrounds. “I have to have an element of creativity in my role, as well as project management and must be able to act quickly. Everything usually comes at once, so it’s important to prioritise. I try to work on the tasks that involve other colleagues and agency input first, and then anything I can do alone I’ll squeeze into my day to ensure I’m not waiting for feedback for too long.
“I love the variety of tasks I’m working on, and I enjoy seeing results from selling a product; it’s been great coming up with different ways to look at things which may help the sales team. I’m looking forward to continuing to work in the property industry, as this is what interests me most, working on building a team and excelling my learning.
“Everyone at Lovell is really approachable, it’s been a strange time joining whilst we’re in the middle of a pandemic but because I’ve had so many people helping me it’s been quite seamless. There’s always someone to ask when I have questions.”

Outside of work, Shivani enjoys travelling and is always looking at the next destination. She’s looking forward to hopefully booking a trip in 2021 once restrictions allow, but has had to put her plans to visit Budapest and go skiing in Austria and Vietnam on hold.
