Having recently stepped into his exciting new role as a building and contracts manager in the Midlands region, Matt Cadwallader is committed to ensuring that Lovell’s developments are among the tidiest in the country.

With long experience in the building trade, Matt, 45, is responsible for the smooth running of sites in and around the Birmingham area. He aims to ensure they are on schedule in delivering the inspiring style, unrivalled quality and exceptional value of beautifully designed Lovell homes.

Having decided that A-Levels were not for him, but working in the great outdoors was, Matt undertook a bricklaying apprenticeship on leaving school and began his first site placement at 18. 27 years later, he has scaled the diverse ladder of the building trade, taking on growing responsibilities in site management, as well as contracts management and customer care, for several large developers, including the delivery of a major retirement scheme for a charitable trust.

Father of three, Matt, who lives at Great Witley near Worcester is currently planning to marry his partner in December.

Based at Lovell’sWoodgate Valley, Halesowen office, Matt is enjoying overseeing all six sites he is responsible for, including the final phase of Harvills Grange, located in rapidly regenerating West Bromwich and The Meadows, a new development of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, coming soon at Clifton-upon-Teme.

Of his new role, Matt says:

“My first priority is to ensure that my sites are tidy and that the lads are happy at work. Clean sites are both happy and profitable sites and I aim to ensure that’s how they stay.

“I enjoy working with the people at Lovell and particularly like the discipline of being with a good, old-fashioned company run along traditional lines, yet with progressive ideas for development. I have definitely found my place working at Lovell and when time allows, I would love to grow with the company.”
