Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has strengthened its support for SME real estate firms across the West Midlands with three new senior hires.

Vaughan Hobbs has been appointed as a relationship director within the region’s now six-strong SME real estate team. Vaughan joins Lloyds Bank with 17 years’ expertise in the property sector, as well as more than 30 years in the financial industry. He will work to support a portfolio of established real estate developers and investors across the West Midlands region with a loan book of £88m.

Joining Vaughan is Mark Mascarello, who steps into the role of relationship manager with almost three decades of experience in various banking roles. He will now focus primarily on supporting the team’s SME real estate activities in the Black Country, as well as the day-to-day management of a portfolio of clients with a loan book of £60m

Jon Read also joins the team as a relationship manager, with a remit to support real estate SMEs across the West Midlands. Having already spent 27 years in the Commercial Banking division at Lloyds Bank, with experience across both relationship management and risk management, Jon will now apply his expertise to his new role, where he will be responsible for the team’s real estate activities with SMEs in Coventry with a loan book balance of £61m.

All three will report to Damian Mohan, area director for SME real estate in the Midlands.

Damian said: “The West Midlands is home to a large number of successful property firms, and this strong sector is integral to the local economy. These latest appointments add further strength to our team and depth to our expertise, and Vaughan, Mark and Jon will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients across the region.

“Providing the real estate sector with the tailored finance and guidance that it needs for growth is one of the many ways that we are Helping Britain Prosper, and our newly-bolstered team means we are in an even stronger position to do this.”
