Leading West Midlands Developer Welcomes New Managing Director

Halesowen-based homebuilder Barratt Homes West Midlands welcomes a new Managing Director who hopes to continue to build on previous success.

Adrian Evans, who is originally from Market Deeping in Lincolnshire joined the developer as its new Managing Director recently and has since been enjoying the responsibilities involved in overseeing a successful operation.

Adrian said:

“No two days are the same and no two weeks are the same which is part of the excitement over the role and the opportunity for me.

“My favourite part of the job is seeing a new development take fruition from the early days of identifying the land opportunity through to the first purchaser taking their house keys as they move into their new home.”


Based in the West Midlands, the developer builds much needed new homes in Shropshire, Staffordshire, Oxfordshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Cheshire, Warwickshire and Birmingham.

In the last financial year, Barratt Homes West Midlands built 592 homes in its operational areas as well as contributing a massive £1.6m in for the local areas and £17m expenditure on physical works benefitting local communities.

Adrian, who has worked in the industry for 34 years including roles at Avant Homes Midlands, Allison Homes and Persimmon Homes, was first attracted to Barratt Homes by its vision to lead the future of the industry by putting customers at the heart of everything they do.

He continued:

“To anyone considering a career in the housebuilding industry I would say that there are many different routes into the sector, dependant on individual circumstances. The sky really is the limit in regards to career aspirations.”

The homebuilder planted 2,882 trees or shrubs in the last year as well as creating 26.2ha of green space through public open space and private gardens.

Not only this but the developer trained 27 graduates, apprentices and trainees as well as creating 1,261 jobs in the areas in which it builds.

In his new role, Adrian is an ambassador for the company, supporting the other directors to uphold the core principles of Barratt Homes as a responsible housebuilder.
