Last Stone in Place at New Cotswold Retirement Village

The traditional Topping Off ceremony has taken place at Cirencester’s newest retirement village and care home – Stratton Court.


Aura Care Living and their construction company – Aura Care Construct, are in the process of building the village that boasts 31, one, two and two plus bedroom apartments and a 61 bed and 12 bed CCU care home with on-site lifestyle facilities that include a its own café - bar, a library and an IT suite.


Now the last stone is in place work can begin on the landscaping and interiors.

“It has been an incredibly quick and efficient build, we started here in November 2016,” said Aura Care Construct Managing Director John Penn.


There has been 180 operatives on site at any one time and tens of thousands of Cotswold stone and blocks have been put into place.


The ceremony was led by Lyth Watson of Octopus Health Care, who are the investors in the giant project.
