Knight Frank has brought in Daniel Harris, one of the South West’s leading development consultants, to bolster its existing residential development and consultancy offering in Bristol and the wider region.

Harris was formerly an Associate Director at Savills; he joins Knight Frank as a Partner in its Residential Development team, bringing with him 14 years of real estate experience. At Knight Frank, Harris will be based in Bristol but his remit will cover the wider region, where he’ll be advising clients on projects from acquisition through to completion.

Harris’s previous role at Savills – which he has held since 2014 – was wide-ranging. Taking him across the length and breadth of the South West, including into parts of Gloucestershire and Cornwall, it involved advising clients – such as Galliard Homes, Acorn Property Group, and Generator Group – at every stage of the property lifecycle.

Harris has experience in identifying suitable sites and advising on development strategies, as well as working with clients to progress and manage these opportunities through the development and sales process.

Over the years, Harris has been involved in some of the region’s most well-known development projects, including Brabazon, Redland Court and Alliance House in Bristol, and Hope House and Lansdown Fields in Bath. Harris also played a pivotal role in helping to kick-start and grow Savills’ New Homes offering in Cheltenham.

Mark Evans, Head of Regional Residential Development & Investment at Knight Frank said:

“Dan is well-known across Bristol and the South West for his unparalleled understanding of the local market. He is trusted and highly-regarded by his clients, and over the years he has built up an excellent reputation as one of the region’s leading development consultants. We’re very pleased that he’ll be joining the Knight Frank team and look forward to welcoming him aboard.”

Daniel Harris added:

“As a Bristolian born and bred, I know this region and its property market inside out. I’m looking forward to bringing all the knowledge and experience I have built up over the years and pairing it with the unique, partnership-led approach that Knight Frank is well-known for.

“Knight Frank already has a solid platform in Bristol, and I’m very much looking forward to working with the existing team to build on this and take the offering here from strength to strength.”

Harris joins Knight Frank on Monday 26th April; from then on he can be reached at daniel.harris@knightfrank.com.
