International independent real estate consultancy Hollis is celebrating 25 years of successful business in Bristol.

Over the past quarter of a century, the firm has changed its name from Malcolm Hollis to Hollis, moved to larger premises in Queen Square, and has seen the office grow to a team of 30. The range of clients the team services has also grown, with clients now including M&G Real Estate, Mileway, DTZ Investors, Legal & General Investment Management, and London & Cambridge Properties Ltd.

Hollis has in-house specialists in technical due diligence, project management and dilapidations, as well as energy and sustainability consultants and M&E engineers.

The firm has maintained a committed presence in the South West, and the celebration of 25 years of business in Bristol, reinforces the quality and diversity of work provided to clients over that time.

Hollis has been involved in some large and significant projects in Bristol and the South West, including:

  • repurposing a listed WWII barrage balloon hangar at Pucklechurch Trading Estate for Canmoor Asset Management Limited

  • providing a number of services to Legal & General Investment Management for their property, Chippenham 79, including improving the building’s energy performance rating from an E to an A

  • jointly monitoring Two Central Square, Cardiff, for the funder Legal & General, and the purchaser Credit Suisse (value £42 million)

James Key, Partner, Hollis in Bristol, says:

“The property and construction industry has evolved considerably over the past 25 years. Bristol and the South West of England have seen significant investment from UK and overseas investors in both commercial and residential property projects over that time, and a number of projects in the region have received forward funding for the years ahead. We are delighted to be part of this exciting and growing marketplace, and look forward to continuing being part of it over the next 25 years.”
