Henry Boot Developments (HBD) is set to open a Birmingham office following a period of sustained growth across the business.

Central Location

The developer has taken space in Bank House, one of Birmingham’s most iconic buildings, located within the city’s central business district.

The move will allow HBD to capitalise on opportunities in the wider Midlands region, placing its team within closer proximity to large development projects currently underway, such as the Imperial Tobacco regeneration site in Nottingham, Golden Gate Park in Leicester and The Oaks, Daventry, a transformational retail and leisure project.

National Presence

The developer’s Birmingham base will bring its total number of UK offices to six, joining Sheffield, Bristol, Glasgow, London and Manchester.

“Opening an office in Birmingham was a logical step for us given the continued growth of our business across the country, and some very exciting opportunities within the Midlands.

"The 48 acre Imperial Tobacco site in Nottingham is just one example; a landmark site set to create hundreds of new jobs.

“Birmingham and the wider region will benefit from significant investment and regeneration driven by infrastructure improvements, most notably HS2 – establishing an office in the city will ensure that we remain an active participant in those conversations during the coming months and years.”

It has been a successful year to date for HBD with a number of large projects underway throughout the UK, including the new Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, Markham Vale Derbyshire and Kampus, a £250m mixed-use development in Manchester city centre.

UK wide, 2016 saw HBD build out 875,000 sq ft space, pre-fund £600m worth of commercial and residential development and enter into £306m worth of building contracts.

Its schemes comprise a range of delivery arrangements, from JVs with local authorities and other development partners, to projects delivered independently.
