Carterwood, the specialist chartered surveyors dedicated to care and older people’s housing, has appointed three additional research analysts as its multi-award-winning consultancy division in Bristol grows 26% over the last year.

The new recruits are Grace Wheelwright, Andrew Whyte and Sam Sefton. Their responsibilities include conducting initial research, analysing and interpreting data, and producing maps for reports. Both Grace and Andrew are graduates joining on a full-time basis while Sam, a student analyst, will be full-time for 15 months, before returning to the University of Exeter to complete the final year of his Economics degree.

Carterwood’s consultancy division is renowned for its highly regarded market and planning reports, which provide due diligence and planning needs support for healthcare developments. The company was most recently named Property Consultants of the Year at the prestigious HealthInvestor awards 2016. It has also been shortlisted for the sixth time for the same award, along with Strategic Consultants of the Year, for the 2017 awards which take place on Thursday 1 June in London.

Carterwood director Amanda Nurse says: “We are passionate about the development of young people so last year we launched a new graduate recruitment programme. This will see us employ at least one graduate each summer and recruit one university placement student each year. Grace, Andrew and Sam are the first to come through our new programme. They are all ambitious individuals and we look forward to supporting them in their career development.”

As part of its graduate recruitment programme, Carterwood will attend two Bristol careers fairs in October 2017: the University of Bristol’s Autumn Careers Fair on Tuesday 10 and UWE Bristol’s Meet the Employers Fair on Wednesday 18.
