WACL (Women in Advertising, Communication Leadership) will hold its first ever event in Manchester this month.

The maiden WACL event to be held outside of London will take place in Manchester’s Whitworth Locke on Thursday, June 30th and an incredible speaker line-up of female leaders from the British advertising industry will take to the stage.

WACL is a high profile organisation comprised of more than 200 C Suite senior women from advertising, communications and media, whose purpose is to accelerate gender equality in their industry. This event will inspire and support the next generation of female leaders in the worlds of brand, comms and media.

Dawn Paine, CEO & Co-Founder of Aurora, a creative experience agency headquartered in Liverpool, will host the discussion on ‘How to lead with creative bravery in an uncertain world’ and will be joined by by Karen Blackett OBE, WPP, UK Country Manager & CEO at Group M, Jane Callingham, BBC’s Brand Director and Sam Gregory, Joint CEO at Tangerine.

This week (June 13) WACL is delighted to confirm Imogen Tazzyman, Executive Creative Director at McCann Manchester, will also be speaking on the stellar panel.

The five female leaders will be sharing their views on how creative bravery can inspire change, drive action and, most importantly, how individuals can make a difference to themselves and their teams.

Dawn Paine said:

“In an uncertain and increasingly complex world, creative bravery has never been so important – and particularly for female leaders of the future looking to navigate this new world order.

“We have an amazing line-up at the forefront of the British advertising industry speaking at our first ever event to take place in Manchester and there will be wise words and practical advice aplenty.”

This WACL event is typically attended by Account Managers, Creative Directors, Marketing Managers, Marketing Directors, CMOs and Client Directors.

Taking place at Whitworth Locke, the event will begin at 12pm (midday) and guests will enjoy a light lunch whilst networking with like-minded individuals.

After the panel, there will be a lively discussion where guests can continue to discuss, share, learn and connect.
