Burnley's The Landmark, a business club and coworking space in the centre of town, has expanded its team due to a large number of organisations joining its thriving business community.

As the demand for flexible workspaces and coworking hubs increases, The Landmark has bolstered its guest services department by taking on a customer services professional from the hospitality sector, Malea Vernon.

Ms. Vernon will be looking after all the members of the growing business community and working as a brand ambassador promoting The Landmark by liaising with potential new members.

Increasing coronavirus restrictions have caused offices to close up and down the country with staff having to work from home. While these measures are necessary to control the virus, many have found it challenging to maintain productivity amid the distractions of working in a domestic setting.

The strong demand is also attributed to a sharp rise in entrepreneurial activity as a result of covid related redundancies.

Liz Wilkinson, General Manager at The Landmark, commented:

"We're offering a covid safe workspace for businesses and individuals looking for an alternative to the traditional office, or home working. The uptake has been astonishing. We've had in increase in demand of over 400%, and more businesses are joining all the time."

Joining The Landmark business club comes with a host of benefits. Club members are able to use ultrafast internet connections throughout the building. There are private offices, meeting rooms, and covid safe communal areas designed to encourage networking.

The Landmark is based in the iconic former home of Burnley Grammar School, an impressive grade 2 listed building on School Lane, central Burnley. Membership of The Landmark business club starts at just £20 a month. The price includes free parking on site.

There is still capacity for more businesses and entrepreneurs to work from The Landmark and anyone interested is encouraged to get in touch before space runs out.
