PKF Francis Clark has strengthened its Bristol-based team with the appointment of audit partner Paul Putnam and corporate tax senior manager Rob Meredith.

They join as the chartered accountants and business advisers celebrate the first anniversary of opening their office in Victoria Street.

An experienced auditor who particularly enjoys working with entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses, Paul is looking forward to playing a key role in the firm’s ongoing growth in the city.

“I really enjoy working with people who are passionate about building their business, and that passion rubs off on me,”

said Paul, who joins from BDO.
“PKF Francis Clark is well known across the South West as a trusted adviser to entrepreneurial businesses, and I’m excited to join a team of enthusiastic and energetic people who thrive on helping clients to achieve their ambitions.

“I had heard great things about the firm’s people and service from contacts in the business community and was attracted by the opportunity to help build a really strong presence for PKF Francis Clark in the Bristol marketplace. I can see huge potential.”

Chartered tax adviser Rob, who has previously worked for two of the Big Four accountancy firms, added:

“It’s a fantastic time to be joining PKF Francis Clark’s Bristol team and I’m really excited about leveraging the firm’s impressive reputation to grow its presence in one of the UK’s fastest growing cities.

“Our clients and associates, as well as our friends and neighbours in the wider community, need our support more than ever at this time, and I look forward to adding my knowledge, expertise and experience in corporation tax and business advisory to the team’s already formidable skillset.”

Mike Lea, PKF Francis Clark’s Bristol managing partner, said:

“These strategic appointments grow our capacity to provide businesses in the Bristol area with a full range of accountancy and advisory services, using our local knowledge and global reach as members of the PKF International network.

“Paul is a highly skilled and respected auditor and Rob is experienced in helping businesses across a wide range of sectors to manage and structure their tax affairs efficiently. They both share our ethos of putting clients first and coming up with inventive solutions to problems, so we’re delighted to welcome them to the team.

“They join us as we look forward to continuing to support our growing number of clients in the city through the challenges they are facing as a result of coronavirus.”
