People Puzzles is expanding its team of experienced HR professionals in Yorkshire and the North East of England with the appointment of a new Regional Director, Jim Lister.

Jim has a vast array of experience as an entrepreneur, business leader and consultant. His CV includes seven years as national Head of People Engagement at Co-operative Logistics and Head of Business Development in Interserve plc. He recently worked as a business mentor to a start-up which established a series of children’s care homes across the North. He’s also a qualified business coach.

At People Puzzles, he now heads up an already-established group of locally based and highly experienced People Directors who provide flexible, strategic HR expertise to growing, ambitious companies in the Yorkshire and North East region.

For the last ten years People Puzzles has expanded its reach regionally and created a national network of People Directors with a formidable amount of collective HR expertise. Often with backgrounds in blue chip and large scale companies, its People Directors bring a high level of experience and knowledge to help businesses become well-structured and high-performing with a happy and engaged workforce.

Jim Lister says:

‘I’m very excited about working with People Puzzles. The range of expertise from its People Directors across the country and the quality of their CVs is incredible. We bring these skills into businesses so they can get the best out of their most expensive resource – their people. We know that addressing people issues can be difficult. But if you don’t have the right infrastructure in place you won’t achieve your goals. Furthermore, it’s important for businesses to have a strong employee brand in an increasingly employee-driven market where talented people are currently at a premium.’

A series of breakfast networking events for local business leaders in Leeds is giving Jim the opportunity to explain People Puzzles’ unique offering to the market.

Jim continues:

‘I’m really looking forward to offering a quality service for the anticipated business growth that people hope for in the Yorkshire and North East. We have a tradition of highly innovative business thinking that tries to stay one step ahead. From the engagement I’ve had with business leaders so far, I’m picking up a real excitement and commitment to make things happen and achieving the sustained levels of business expansion that this region is capable of.’
