As well as celebrating 50 years of trading in May, Black Country Chamber Patron member, Timmins Whittaker have over the past few months become Insurance Brokers to two Black Country Chamber members, who have an even longer trading history.

These two family run companies both with turnovers in excess of £10,000,000 had been using their previous brokers for a number of years.

Mark Timmins, Managing Director of Timmins Whittaker, commented:

“As a proud Black Country firm, we are honoured to be working with these two long established companies. We were able to demonstrate our professionalism and skill at designing and recommending bespoke insurance programs, which gave the client efficiencies and removed gaps in cover. We believe that these actions helped us to succeed in being appointed to act as Insurance Brokers to these companies.

We put forward competitive costings - which we know is important - but more significantly were able to rectify gaps in cover which potentially were placing the companies at financial risk and this demonstrated our professionalism. In fact, one of the incumbent brokers tried some 'interesting' tactics which we would not stoop too and I am pleased to say their actions backfired on them!”

Timmins Whittaker, who are based in Brierley Hill, have arranged a number of exclusive insurance facilities for members of the Black Country Chamber.

Mark Timmins continued:

“As we are totally independent and family run, we are able to view each client as an individual, whatever their size, and recommend insurance arrangements which will meet their specific and individual needs. We fully realise that each company is unique and, treat them accordingly. We are well aware that some of our competitors do not work in the same way which can be detrimental to the client.”

As Patron members and key supporters of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, Timmins Whittaker are more than happy to carry out insurance reviews for any chamber member, so please contact Mark Timmins on 01384 480899 or email m.timmins@timminswhittaker.co.uk.
