Corporate and B2B communications agency Camargue has been shortlisted for two prestigious regional communications awards.

CIPR PRide awards

Judged by leading industry experts, the South of England Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards recognise the outstanding work of PR agencies operating in the region but who deliver campaigns across the UK.

Camargue, which has offices in Cheltenham, London and Birmingham, has been shortlisted in the following categories:

  • Community Relations Campaign – supporting National Grid on its project to connect a nuclear power station proposed for Cumbria into the electricity transmission network – the largest project of its kind in the UK. The campaign involved extensive consultation with communities across Cumbria and saw more than 2,500 people attend consultation events, 8,000 responses to the consultation, and close to 8,000 unique visitors to the project’s website.
  • Corporate & Business Communications Campaign – supporting one of the world’s leading industrial gas companies, Air Products, in the launch of PolarFit® Care, the world’s first and only personalised whole body cryotherapy treatment. Whole body cryotherapy, which exposes the outer surface of the body to temperatures as low as -140oC, is becoming increasingly popular in elite sport, helping athletes prepare for training and enhance their recovery. Camargue’s campaign included an exclusive event targeting medical professionals from leading UK football and rugby teams, and attracted the interest of BBC Breakfast’s Mike Bushell, as well as featuring heavily in the sports pages of The Sun and the Daily Mirror.

‘Testament to our calibre and quality’

Mike Conway, Director in Camargue’s Cheltenham office, said:

“We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the awards and recognised both for our corporate communications work and our specialist communications and consultation programmes to support large, complex infrastructure projects. The shortlisting is testament to the calibre and quality of people we continue to attract into the business.”

The award winners will be announced on 17 November 2017 at the South of England and Channel Islands PRide Awards Dinner in Bristol.
