Birmingham-based marketing, sales and psychology consultancy Cognition has kicked off 2020 with six new business wins worth more than £1 million in extra revenue for the agency.

The marketing agency welcomes UK-based IT consultancy and reseller SBL and technology thinktank Big Innovation Centre, bolstering its strong credentials in the technology sector.

It also welcomes presentation skills trainer UK Body Talk, retail returns logistics Rebound Returns, fine arts publisher DeMontfort Fine Arts and property investor Shojin Properties.

This significantly raises recurring revenue for the agency, which moved from Leamington Spa to set up its headquarters in Birmingham in 2018. It comes off the back of a record 2019 for the agency, where revenue grew by 22%.

In line with its rapid growth, the company has begun a major recruitment drive and invites candidates to send in speculative CVs here.

Tim Witcherley, Managing Director of Cognition said:

“We are delighted with how the first few weeks of 2020 have gone so far. It is testimony to the hard work our team have put in – and continue to put in – delivering exceptional marketing and sales solutions for businesses across the world.

“I want to welcome each of our new clients to our agency. We believe that a major reason businesses are keen to join us is our experience in psychology and sales. This allows us first to interrogate longheld beliefs that could be holding businesses back from stellar growth. Secondly, it allows us to use our expertise in psychology to get under the skin of our clients’ customers – creating communication strategies that truly resonate with today’s audiences.

“In 2020, when many businesses are looking to overhaul their digital practices – they are looking for partners who can not only drive sales through marketing – but also guide their businesses through what can be huge changes.”

Cognition specialises in marketing and sales strategy that is driven by technology but underpinned by psychology. Psychology comes into play when supporting businesses in the delivery of successful change management processes. New projects will involve the designing and building of multiple websites, rebranding and robust data-driven marketing strategies.
