MANCHESTER-based photographer Shane Webber is celebrating this month after scooping two prestigious national awards.

The 27-year-old, who graduated from Manchester University in 2011, was named as one of the top wedding photographers of the year in the Masters of Wedding Photography UK & IE awards – with two of his images awarded accolades.

The awards come just two years after Shane, who had previously worked as a freelance photographer in Ibiza and at some of the world’s top music events, took the decision to move back to Manchester and focus on his wedding business.

He said:

“I am absolutely over the moon to have two of my photographs recognised with these awards; it makes me very proud. Shooting weddings is my passion and the business has gone from strength to strength over the last two years.

“Last year was a really exciting one for Shane Webber Photography as me and my team were busy photographing wedding across Manchester and the North West – as well as a few further afield – and have just undertaken a full rebrand with a brand new website, marketing materials and everything that goes along with it, which has been keeping us busy.”

In 2017, Shane Webber Photography took on a new studio manager as part of its strategy for expansion over the coming months.

Shane added:

“When I decided to move back to Manchester to focus on wedding photography full time, I never thought that just a couple of years down the line I would be an award-winning photographer with a full time member of the team as well as a network of photographers.

“I couldn’t be more pleased with how far the business has come in such a short space of time and I am very excited to see what 2018 will bring.”

Shane received two awards from the Masters of Wedding Photography UK & IE for his work in 2017. The images included a same-sex marriage hosted at Manchester Town Hall and a romantic moment caught at dusk at The Wellbeing Farm.
