Commercial Consultancy, Facets has reported a record second year of trading, growing its revenue by 279% from £145k.

The Manchester based firm, which was founded in 2020 by experienced commercial professional Guy Littlejohn, has posted a total revenue of £559,000 with a profit of £139,000 for FY 21/22.

The growth is thanks to a unique strategic direction, resulting in 18 new client wins over the course of the year and an additional 6 employees being welcomed to the team.

Founder Guy predicts the firm will hit its target of £1m revenue by the end of the current financial year.

“Reporting such a huge success despite a global pandemic feels incredible. I know others have struggled and so I appreciate our success more than ever. When I first launched Facets, I 100% believed in the business model, but I expected that it would take some time to educate the industry about how it works and the benefits because we were, in effect, a disruptor brand. But quite the opposite has happened and now we’re headed towards a £1m turnover for FY 22/23, which is remarkable,”
he said.

“The results we’ve achieved for our clients have supported our growth but having the right team in place to deliver on projects has been the ultimate marker of success. This, combined with our unique approach to consulting is the reason I’m so excited for the future of Facets,”
he added.

Facets is a modernised commercial consultancy dedicated to driving growth for boutique agencies, digital, ecommerce and tech firms, providing them with access to senior sales, business development, marketing and recruitment professionals on a retained partnership basis.

Founder Guy launched the business having identified that traditional consultancies didn’t provide access to consultants who could review and support with the development of an entire business development process.

In Jan 2022, Facets introduced a talent division following a change in direction of the business, which saw the full facets model of marketing, sales, talent and education brought to market.

Since bringing the facets model to market, the firm has expanded across the globe, working with boutique tech, digital and ecommerce firms across the UK, Europe and Canada.

These include King Apparel, Bright Analytics, Alkimi Exchange and Ape Technologies, all of which Facets work in partnership with to develop their sales funnel and implement pipeline generation strategies.

Also, following the launch of its specialist talent division, Facets has welcomed Green Ginger Digital, Brawl and Paligo to its client roster, supporting the recruitment of specialist talent within their senior teams.

Guy added:

“Digital transformation has created a pathway for a modernised C-Suite to emerge - and here at Facets, we are leading the way in its creation. We are there for our clients at every stage of their business’s growth, using our 360-degree approach to business development to create pipelines for the core commercial functions a business needs.

“In the last year, we’ve generated over £590,000 in additional revenue for our clients from Sales Consulting and averaged 81% revenue growth for our marketing clients. We’ve also witnessed a huge uptake in the need for our talent service and can’t wait to report on the success at the end of the year.”

Over the course of the next six months, Facets will be hiring an additional two marketing professionals as well as two further senior sales consultants.

Progress on the £1m target will be announced in January 2023.
