HR People Support and Charlton HR to merge

Cheltenham based human resources specialists HR People Support and Charlton HR, have announced that they are merging to offer clients a wider breadth of specialist HR services. The new combined business will bring together expertise across the financial services, technology and charity/not for profit sectors. The two businesses will trade under the HR People Support brand. The move will enable them to strengthen their offer to existing clients by combining their two Chartered Institute of Personal Development accredited and complementary teams, who share common values and a focus on service excellence.

Chris Hickey, Charlton HR’s Founder / Director, will continue to work for the business as an Executive Director with responsibility for Strategic HR, Organisational Development and Training. Chris commented on the two firms coming together;

“The move is an exciting one for our clients, our teams and for the future of the business. We will continue to offer our clients the very best service, based on the understanding and relationships we have built to date. I’m confident our joint resources, knowledge and expertise will enable us to offer even more to help clients grow and manage their people effectively to meet the challenges we face now and in the future.”


Sarah Cook, HR People Support’s Founder, who will head up the business as Managing Director said;

With over 25 years’ combined experience providing strategic advice and outsourced HR services in Gloucestershire and the South West, the company will continue to be based in in Charlton HR’s offices in Cheltenham, with its new team of 7 staff. With aims to build on its 90 strong client base and growing reputation, the company will retain both founders with Chris Hickey scaling back and working part time.
