An area manager at Jaguar Land Rover is the third to be treated by Eze Group’s recently launched Captain’s Club initiative – a competition that recognises and rewards leaders and captains.

Work colleague Isabel Farrell nominated Gregg Niblett, from Castle Bromwich, to enjoy a pre-match meal in the Captain’s Club and watch Blues take on Fulham in the top seats in the Eze Group Stand.

Gregg was nominated for making a huge impact on the team since joining the company a year ago.

Isabel said: “We work in a very busy environment making sure customer’s cars are built on time and to a high standard. As you can probably imagine it can get quite stressful but in the short time Gregg has been here he’s been such a calming influence.”

“He keeps morale high in the team, and is always going the extra mile to help everyone on the shop floor.

“He also does great community work within Jaguar Land Rover. Whether it’s inviting schools in for tours of the manufacturing facility, or doing charity work like helping out with local food banks.

“Last December Gregg arranged for a young boy who has a rare form of cancer to come into the factory where his dad works and pick up some Christmas presents - one of which was an electric F Type Jaguar toy. The whole shop floor contributed to the gifts but none of it would’ve been possible without Gregg arranging for the boy’s family to be there – it was a truly tearful moment.”

Blues Diamond sponsors – Eze Group – recently launched the Captain’s Club initiative to recognise and reward those great captains who are leading from the front and inspiring their colleagues.

Gregg and his family all watched the game from the luxury seats in the Eze Group Stand, after enjoying a Blues banquet in the Captain’s Club.

Gregg said: “What a lovely treat, thank you very much. Unfortunately I don’t get to go to St. Andrew’s to watch Blues that often as I’d like to due to work commitments, so to have gone with my wife and kids was a real treat – not just for me but for them as well.

“I know Blues has had a bad run the last few weeks, but as soon as the goal went in it was like all had been forgotten.”

Eze Group CEO Dominic O’Reilly said: “What Gregg has managed to achieve for his team in his short time at Jaguar Land is truly commendable – a true ‘captain of industry’. We wish him all the best for the future.”

The final score at St Andrew’s finished Blues 1 – Fulham 0.

Over the coming months Eze Group will ask fans to nominate sports captains, school captains, captains in the community and up and coming captains of industry.
