RP Translate, a language services company with offices in Bristol is celebrating after the team’s Head of Project Management, Rebecca Kinnersley, was shortlisted in the Association of Translation Companies’ (ATC) 2016 Language Industry Summit Awards.
The judges narrowed nominations down to three people in the Project Manager of the Year category, and Becky will learn if she has been successful when the winners are announced at the gala awards dinner that takes place as part of the 40th anniversary ATC conference on 22nd September 2016 at the QEII Conference Centre in London.
The Language Industry Summit Awards are designed to celebrate success in the sector, with nominees being recognised by the judges for their commitment to excellence.
Speaking about Becky being shortlisted, RP HR and marketing manager Clare Partington said: “Becky has shown through her unparalleled organisational skills, outstanding problem-solving abilities and deep empathy for client and supplier needs that she was born for Project Management.”
Commenting on her nomination, Becky added: “I’m delighted to have been shortlisted for an ATC award. I have loved Project Management since my very first job and to be recognised for it on a national level, by key contributors to the language industry, is really encouraging.”
This year’s judging panel comprises Rudy Tirry, President of the European Union of Associations of Translation Companies, Sarah Griffin-Mason, Chair of the Institute of Translation & Interpreting, Laura Brandon, Executive Director of the Globalization and Localization Association and Geoffrey Bowden, General Secretary for the ATC, who was the non-voting chair of the judging panel.
ATC General Secretary Geoffrey, said: “The nominations have been assessed using robust judging criteria to recognise the broad range of talent within the industry.
“With a focus on achievement; the judging criteria put an emphasis on the story behind the individuals that give so much to the industry; what they aim to achieve and what their success gives back to the profession. Rebecca’s nomination certainly ticked many of the boxes for the judging panel.”
