Midland recruitment experts eResponse Group has appointed a new manager to oversee the firm’s apprenticeship delivery for the region’s employers and trainees.
Laura Guymer has joined the award-winning training and recruitment firm as eResponse prepare to help fill some of the 3,000 apprenticeships being created across the UK.
Laura comes to the award-winning group with over 13 years’ experience in the recruitment sector, having been responsible for supporting large apprenticeship delivery schemes for household names such as Next and Boots. She will report to managing director Paul Alekna.
She said: “Apprenticeships are a great way to get experience on the job, as well as earning and learning at the same time. They’re great for employers too because they get someone trained to work according to their needs.
“Where I come in is to make sure that it works to the mutual benefit of employer and apprentice. That means constantly reviewing and improving things not just for individuals but for the programmes as a whole.
“I’ve done this for brands including Boots, Next, EE, TK Maxx and William Hill. I’m looking forward to helping a new generation of workforce with that first, all important step on the career ladder.”
Managing Director Paul Alekna added: “Laura brings superb credentials, a wealth of apprenticeships experience and a hugely impressive track record. We’re delighted to welcome her to the team.”
eResponse Group is ranked 31st in the prestigious 2015 Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies having been nominated by its own employees. It is also currently 45th in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100, which recognises the country’s top performing entrepreneurs and private companies.
