Manufacturers in the East Midlands region, who have embraced digitalisation though Made Smarter East Midlands, are sharing their remarkable achievements as part of National Manufacturing Day, a Make UK initiative, on the 28th September 2023. These manufacturers have leveraged the program's grant support, expert guidance, and the dynamic leadership program to achieve significant growth and operational efficiencies.

Made Smarter East Midlands, a Programme designed for manufacturing SMEs, has been instrumental in fostering digital transformation within the region. Beneficiaries have effectively tapped into the program's comprehensive suite of support, including digital road mapping, fully funded Industrial Digital Technology Advice (IDTA), leadership development, and grant funding for CAPEX and revenue projects. The leadership development program, delivered by Loughborough University, equips leaders with the tools and strategies needed to lead digital transformation effectively.


Up to 50% match funding is available for equipment and specialist advice to implement digital projects. Additionally, manufacturers can access expertise in various areas, including additive manufacturing, AR & VR, big data & analytics, cognitive computing & AI, data & systems integration, industrial cybersecurity, internet of things, and more.
