West Bromwich-based manufacturer Wrights Plastics has announced that James Ivison has joined the company as Senior Relationship Executive.

The appointment marks James’ return to the company where he had previously spent almost 10 years overseeing the company’s successful expansion into working with many trade partners and brands alike. His new role will see him develop relations with major clients, as well as adding new names to Wrights’ impressive client roster.

James first joined the acrylic fabricators in 2007, following a varied early work history. Trained as a Graphic Designer, first roles included design, IT training and CCTV electrician/sales. The ability to use his design skills in a hands-on environment was the reason he joined Wrights Plastics, and he wasn’t fazed by any lack of sector knowledge.

“I spent an intensive few weeks learning about the many production processes at Wrights” he recalled this week “and that meant I could take the client from a basic idea or drawing to the most effective solution as quickly as possible.”

He left in 2015 but the opportunity to work creatively, developing concepts and delivering effective solutions in sectors as varied as retail, industry and automotive has lured him back ‘home’.

What has changed since he left?

“Lots of new cutting-edge machinery, a recently acquired business added to the Group, more clients and a larger workforce. But a lot has remained the same. The team are so loyal that most of them are still here – and almost all of them are talking to me again!”
