A brand new mini golf experience is set to tee off in the West Midlands this spring, having almost completed a £2.4M renovation of its new premises in the heart of Birmingham’s Bullring and Grand Central. With multiple locations across the UK, the newest Treetop Adventure Golf site is preparing to open its rainforest doors on Monday 31st May to coincide with the post-lockdown return of the leisure and hospitality sector.

Located on the southern side of the Bullring shopping centre, in place of the former Forever 21 unit, the 18,500 sq.ft. space has been acquired from commercial property experts, Hammerson, and is undergoing a seven-figure refurbishment to transform it into an immersive mini golf experience for all.

The 350-person capacity venue will boast two indoor 18-hole mini golf courses – aptly named the Tropical Trail and Ancient Explorer – alongside a Bonus 19th hole that gives guests the chance to win a free round should they score a hole in one. Guests will also be able to enjoy an abundance of vibrant food and drink options, from the Jungle Buzz Café, Pizza Cabana and The Thirsty Toucan bar.

Commenting on the upcoming launch, CEO and co-founder Of Treetop Adventure Golf, Elizabeth Stanway says:

“Birmingham has always been a landmark location and we’re so excited to be launching within the city centre and look forward to witnessing all of our guests making treasured memories together! Treetop Adventure Golf Birmingham will be open seven days a week, for everything from family days out to student hangouts, date nights, work get-togethers and celebrations.

“Despite a tough year for the economy and, particularly, the hospitality and leisure sector, we are proud to have invested £2.4M into our new Birmingham home and can’t wait to open our doors to the public”

Following significant investment into its Birmingham site, Treetop Adventure Golf is currently recruiting for roles within its team that will bring the venue to life. In total, they will create 25 jobs and the team are set to work with several local suppliers; including Quarter Horse Coffee, The Brutally Honest Bakery and Birmingham Brewing Company – yet more welcome news for the city after the unprecedented impact of COVID-19 upon local hospitality venues.

In light of current public health guidelines, Treetop Adventure Golf will be retaining and reimplementing a number of key safety measures across all of its existing sites and its new Birmingham-based destination. This is set to include a one-way route for guests, fewer people for more space, and signs throughout the rainforest to keep guests a safe distance apart at all times. They’ll also be on the ball with extra cleaning and freshly scrubbing clubs and balls for every golfer.

“We are so excited to be bringing a new, memorable concept of mini golf and indoor fun to the West Midlands. Now, more than ever, we know people value spending quality time with their loved ones. We think that Treetop Adventure Golf Birmingham will allow us to redefine leisure in the West Midlands and be a venue in which all can come together to have fun, food, drink and a great atmosphere in 2021 and beyond,”

Elizabeth added.
