STAFF at a Bridgwater restaurant are celebrating this month (September, 2018) after being shortlisted in the Somerset Life Food & Drink Awards.

The River Parrett Restaurant on Salmon Parade is one of the finalists in the Best Restaurant of the Year category.

Lukasz Filak, Manager of the restaurant, said:

The Somerset Life Food & Drink Awards are designed to champion, highlight and offer a showcase from the region’s food and drink industry including producers and suppliers, small farming businesses, chefs, restaurants, pubs and hoteliers.

Judges look for the quality of the nominations rather than quantity, selecting three finalists in each category using strict criteria before visiting each venue to select a winner.

The awards ceremony will take place at The Somerset County Cricket Club, Taunton on October 18.
