The Belfry’s Executive Head Chef Is Shortlisted For ‘Hotel Chef Of The Year’ Award

The award-winning Belfry Hotel & Resort is proud to announce that Executive Head Chef Robert Bates has been successfully shortlisted as ‘Hotel Chef of the Year’ in The Caterer’s Hotel Cateys 2018 Awards.


The Caterer’s Hotel Catey’s awards celebrate the most successful hotels, hoteliers and hotel employees across the UK, recognising individuals and teams that work tirelessly to make sure their business delivers an exceptional guest experience, day in, day out. Executive Head Chef Robert Bates was one of four individuals that have been shortlisted in the ‘Hotel Chef of the Year (more than 250 covers)’ category, which is an outstanding accomplishment after joining the resort in December 2013. The winner will be announced on the 23rd November at an awards ceremony in London.

As well as being recognised for his hard work and dedication, Chef Bates has also been instrumental in implementing two new menus at The Belfry, which appeal to a range of diners and ensure all customers have a memorable dining experience. The delicious new additions continue to position The Belfry Hotel & Resort as a top dining destination at the heart of the country.


The Belfry’s AA Rosette signature The Ryder Grill is offering a new seasonal a la carte menu designed to appeal to an array of palettes. Additionally, the stylish and elegant Brabazon Bar offers a taste of the Mediterranean with its new tapas menu, complimented with signature cocktails and the Live Lounge Night on the second and last Friday of every month.
