Ston Easton Park, a lavish country pile in the heart of Somerset, will be giving guests a warm welcome this October with the return of its unique Chilli Day.
On the 18th October, Ston Easton Park’s dedicated gardeners, Dale Toten and Steve Hargreaves, will be hosting a special workshop to demonstrate the diversity of the chilli as well as how to grow and care for the spicy mouth-watering crop.
Beginning at 10:00am, guests will be introduced to the day with a talk on the history of the chilli, its evolution in modern cuisine and the many different varieties which are now available to grow.
Guest will then take a leisurely tour through our Hotel’s historic working kitchen gardens before being taught the ideal growing conditions to harvest their very own chilli plants.
Temperatures will begin to rise as guests return indoors to indulge in a raw chilli tasting session using the famous Scoville scale of chilli heat. This will be followed by a delicious three-course lunch in the award-winning Sorrel Restaurant which has been specially made to incorporate chilli into each of the courses.
The Ston Easton Park Chilli Day costs £45.00 per person.
