Birmingham, get ready to party like there’s no mañana because Revolución de Cuba is coming to town! Bursting with carnival fever, the Latin American rum bar and cantina will bring a taste of Havana to Temple Street at the end of March.

Reviving the days of Ernest Hemingway sipping Daiquiris to the sounds of the habanera, Revolución de Cuba will tempt you with a vast selection of all-day dining dishes, creative cocktails and muy bueno entertainment, from live music to cocktail workshops and salsa masterclasses – the perfect mix for an all-night fiesta.

With a cocktail list driven by premium Cuban rums, Revolución de Cuba’s drinks menu is influenced by long Havana nights. The iconic Cuba Libre (Bacardi Carta Oro rum, lime and Coca-Cola) stars alongside four different Daiquiris, including Nuclear (Wray & Nephew and Bacardi Carta Blanca rums, lime, sugar and crème de banane) and Coconut (Koko Kanu coconut rum, lime and coconut). Taking you from day to night, the cantina will be serving delicioso Latin-inspired tapas dishes such as Roasted Chorizo (glazed in a red wine and honey sauce) and Arroz con Padrón (aromatic paella rice with padrón peppers, spinach and hazelnuts), as well as larger plates such as chimichangas, burritos and burgers.

Based in the former Birmingham Law Library, Revolución de Cuba is chic, unique and rùstico! Spread across two floors, with spinning ceiling fans, rich velvet curtains, chandeliers and vintage furniture, a flavour of old school Cuban glamour fills the space. A live music stage also creates a setting for drinkers, diners and dancers to kick back and enjoy, whether you’re tucking into tacos along to the beat or toe-tapping to the rhythm, Mojito in hand.

Myles Doran, Commercial Director of Revolution Bars Group comments:

“We look forward to bringing rich Cuban culture to this vibrant city and turning up the heat Havana-style for everyone to enjoy. We’ll be welcoming and training nearly 80 new team members and investing around £1.1 million to ensure the first Revolución de Cuba in the West Midlands hits the ground running.”
