- Honest Burgers' festive special burger is back for the 12th year running
- New for 2023, the Christmas set menu is available for party bookings for £26
- The Hangover special burger will also return for the ‘Crimbo Limbo' period
It's time to deck the halls; Honest Burgers' decadently delicious festive special is back again for Christmas 2023.
Unchanged for over a decade, the Christmas burger takes Honest beef, smoked bacon, deep-fried Président camembert, cranberry sauce and rocket and brings them together in a toasted burger bun. The oozy, molten camembert is coated in a gluten-free glorious poppyseed crumb for an added crunch.
The vegan option is one for the top of the Christmas wish list too. The vegan festive burger has had a huge upgrade for 2023 and is packed full of flavour with a Beyond Meat burger, La Vie bacon, Honestly Tasty Shamembert cheese, shoestring fries, cranberry sauce and rocket. The Shamembert is the table-centre piece: styled on camembert and every bit as indulgent as the original dairy favourite. Shamembert has an authentic rind and a creamy centre – you'll be hard pressed to tell it wasn't the real thing. It's infused with truffle oil to create rich earth tones. Two wedges of gooey Shamembert are melted on top of the Beyond Meat burger and a crunch from the shoestring fries balances out the textures.
Delivering the festive feel to foodies for one month only, the Christmas and Vegan Christmas specials are available at all 40 Honest Burgers restaurants, from 28th November – 24th December 2023. The dish is the perfect winter gift for the season and comes served with homemade rosemary salted chips, seasonal coleslaw or dressed green salad included in the price. The Christmas burger is £14.80 (including a side) when dining in or collecting and the Vegan Christmas burger is £15.50 (including side). And for those wanting to experience the burger from the comfort of their home, the Uber Eats price for the Christmas burger is £15.90 and the Vegan Christmas burger is £16.50.
Adam Layton, Honest Burgers Head of Food, said:"We haven't changed our Christmas special for 12 years and there is a reason for that, Honest fans love it and we know this year will be no exception. But we've levelled things up on our vegan offering this Christmas. Honestly Tasty's Shamembert is the most dairy-like of all the plant-based cheeses I've tried. And I've tried a lot. It is every bit as indulgent as camembert. Finally, those looking for a plant-based Christmas cheese can have something rich and festive that in no way feels like a concession. This is the best plant-based Christmas burger we've ever made."
Also on offer this festive period at Honest Burgers, is the affordable Christmas set menu – bookable for large groups and events. The Christmas set menu includes a drink of your choice including alcoholic and soft drinks, a choice of burgers including specials, served with rosemary salted chips, a side of either onion rings, dressed green salad, or seasonal coleslaw, and gravy and sauces for the table all wrapped in for just £26 per person. Customers will also be gifted with a festive ‘prize reveal' card which will offer a 50/50 chance of winning an Honest Burgers prize to enjoy in January.
And once Christmas Day has passed, Honest Burgers has customers covered if they're not feeling so fresh during the ‘Crimbo Limbo' period, with the return of the Hangover Burger. After a year away, the much-loved burger is back featuring Honest beef, crispy bacon, double American cheese, fried egg, Bloody Mary ketchup, homemade rosemary salted chips (inside the burger, chip butty style), rocket and pickles all for £14.80 for dining in and collection and £15.90 when ordered on UberEats. Available from 26 December–01 January.
